The Birth Story of Molly Aya | A Gentle Cesarean with Full Circle Women's Care | Jacksonville Birth Photographer

What a beautiful experience provided by Dr. Adams + the team from St. Vincent’s Southside! This gentle cesarean included the mom and dad’s choice of music, dim lights, and a clear drape so they could see their baby girl as soon as she was born.

This family was so excited to welcome their third child. The dad was set to deploy shortly after this little one’s arrival - I was so happy to be able to document these memories for them.

While this mom had some fears as she received her epidural and laid down on the OR table, she was sweetly supported by her husband. Dr. Adams gave her verbal encouragement, and I served as not only her photographer, but also as her doula - helping to talk her through what was happening and making sure she was ok.

They were glowing with joy when they finally got to meet their baby girl. Dr. Adams held Molly up to the clear drape and her parents reached out to hold her tiny hands. Then, the pediatrician brought her around so they could see her a little closer before taking her to be assessed at the warmer. Once the assessments were done, they brought her over to do skin-to-skin with her mom while they were closing. I loved these moments most of all. Having her baby in her arms made it all real - huge smiles and tears abounded as they soaked it all in.
